Under the Sea

Our son Mathys and Wilhelm started diving in 2010. Mathys was only 14 but he had a real passion for the marine world. He is now a qualified dive instructor and has worked in Sodwana as dive instructor. Wilhelm was not that a natural diver and battled initially but then did what he does best, bought a housing and Canon G12 and started taking photos when diving. Wilhelm has won prices for some of his photos at the Sodwana Shootout and also the Durban Undersea Club photo competition. Our system has been upgraded and we take underwater photo’s now with a Canon 7D MK2. Underwater photography is a bit more challenging than normal photography with everything moving, you, the subject, there is no colour, and you have to bring your own lights to create colourful images, things try to bite you when you do macro photography and you cannot hold onto a lot of places, the camera’s auto settings also do not work that well. But when you get it right it is fabulous. You will notice a love for clownfish.

We love to bring you this fabulous world.
